Traumatic Supratrochlear Artery Pseudoaneurysm With Spontaneous Resolution
Background: Traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the supratrochlear artery is a rare lesion. It manifests, as a painless mass, in the frontal region following trauma. The unusual incidence and confusing presentation require the clinicians to thoroughly understand its presentation and diagnosis. Diagnosis is typically made on history and physical examination, but it can be confirmed by duplex ultraso...
متن کاملRuptured Pseudoaneurysm in the Inferior Pancreaticoduodenal Artery
A previously healthy 55-year-old man presented to the emergency room with abdominal pain. He had noticed abdominal pain in the right upper quadrant suddenly after a coughing. We performed abdominal computed tomography (CT), which showed idiopathic retroperitoneal bleeding, but the source of bleeding was unclear (Picture a). We hesitated to perform surgery because his clinical condition has impr...
متن کاملTranscatheter Embolization of a Ruptured Internal Pudendal Artery Pseudoaneurysm in a Patient with Neurofibromatosis Type 1
Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1) is an autosomal dominant disorder. Pseudoaneurysms formation and rupture is an unusual complication of neurofibromatosis. To date, pseudoaneurysm of the internal pudendal artery associated with NF-1 has not been reported. In this article, we present a 62-yr-old man with NF-1 suffering from spontaneous hematoma of the perinea and scrotum. A digital substraction an...
متن کاملHuge traumatic pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm
Pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm is a very rare complication of penetrating thoracic trauma. We present a case of a 27-year-old woman who developed a 6.5-cm traumatic pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm after suffering multiple stab wounds to the chest and the abdomen. The pseudoaneurysm was successfully treated endovascularly with vascular plug occlusion and coil embolization.
متن کاملCombined Surgical Management of Ruptured Splenic Artery Pseudoaneurysm with Pancraetic-Duct Stricture in Complex Polytrauma Patient
Objective Pancreatic stricture in trauma or chronic pancreatitis leads to increased intraductal pressure and localised leak of pancreatic juices which causes pseudoaneurysm of splenic artery or other adjacent arteries. Simultaneous surgery for ruptured splenic artery pseudoaneurysm and drainage procedure for pancreatic duct stricture is not reported in literature. Attempts to classify peripancr...
